This clear mounting tape offers good UV, humidity and chemical resistance, and thanks to the high-strength adhesive, it can be used to provide a reliable bond between any vehicle substrates without the need for screws. In addition, it can be perfect for the application of other JTAPE products, such as JTAPE Door Skin Replacement Film.

How to Use Refit Tape
Step 1: Unroll the Refit Tape and apply it directly to the surface or substrate. If you’re using this clear mounting tape to apply JTAPE Door Skin Replacement Film, for example, you’ll need to apply strips of our Refit tape across the inside of the car door where the film will sit.Â
Step 2: Once you’re happy with the tape placement, remove the protective release liner to reveal the double-sided adhesive.
Step 3: Finally, apply the substrate being sure to press down firmly where the Refit Tape is to secure the strong bond.
Is Refit Tape a type of mounting tape?
Refit Tape is a clear carrier-free mounting tape that can quickly and easily attach substrates to a vehicle without leaving a noticeable gap.
Is it possible to move or remove Refit Tape once secured?
Although JTAPE Refit Tape is designed to provide a permanent fixing, it can be moved or removed if necessary. To do this, we recommend using string to carefully loosen the acrylic-based adhesive from the surface.
Can Refit Tape withstand high temperatures?
JTAPE Refit Tape offers excellent temperature resistance of up to 120°C/250°F. It also remains effective at low temperatures down to -20°C/-4°F.
Why is Refit Tape carrier-free?
The absence of a foam carrier on this transparent mounting tape provides a better surface-to-surface bond that doesn’t leave a noticeable gap between the surfaces.
