JTAPE – International Women’s Day

Claire Hughes has been the UK/Export Sales Coordinator at JTAPE for 4 years. Brexit has made things a challenge, but she is determined to drive us through! We had a chat with her to see how she has made a difference for the company over her time here.

What’s your proudest achievement at JTAPE?

“I have been part of a few things that have been updated within the office, but more to do with liaising with the shop floor and Production to implement systems which make things easier, for example – the “Mark Orders Shipped” screen for despatch so they can see orders that are ready to leave and when they will be collected etc.

What’s your favourite thing about working for JTAPE?

“I love the people I work with, every day is different and a challenge, especially with Brexit currently but I love a challenge!”

Do you think more women should get involved in the industry and why?

“Yes! I think the industry is male orientated. However, women are doing demos of our masking tape products on cars now, and this shows that women can get more involved, and can push things forward and move up in the automotive industry.”
